Editorial responsibility
Fun IQ is independently published by Anthony McMeekin in the United Kingdom. The publisher is responsible for deciding what appears on the site, correcting verified errors and keeping editorial material separate from advertising or partner relationships.
Articles are written to help a reader understand a specific puzzle decision or technique. Publishing volume is not a goal by itself, and no article is released merely because a schedule contains an empty slot.
What must be checked before publication
Every guide must have a distinct reader need, a practical method, original wording and a natural route to the relevant playable game or printable activity. Instructions are checked for internal consistency, examples must follow the stated rule, and links must lead to the resource they promise.
Before commissioning a new topic, the existing journal is checked for overlap. A new Sudoku or word-game article must teach a materially different method rather than restating an earlier guide under a new title.
AI assistance
AI may help organise research, compare an outline with existing coverage or produce an early draft. It does not publish directly and is not described as a human expert. A live AI-assisted article carries a disclosure explaining that assistance. We do not claim human expert review unless it has actually occurred.
AI output is not treated as a factual source. Changing claims about game rules, releases, studies or external products require a current primary or official source. Unsupported claims, invented expertise, endorsements, statistics and performance benefits are removed.
Sources, dates and updates
We prefer a game publisher's official rules, product documentation or original research when a claim needs external support. Sources are linked close to the relevant article where useful. Publication dates record when an article first went live; modified dates change only after a meaningful published revision.
Evergreen solving methods are reviewed when their linked game changes or a correction is raised. Time-sensitive release coverage is not presented as current unless its factual claims have been rechecked.
Puzzle answers and difficulty
Puzzle data follows the separate Fun IQ puzzle-design and checking standard. A guide cannot override the visible rules of a game. Where more than one interpretation may be defensible, explanations should acknowledge the ambiguity instead of claiming false certainty.
Commercial independence
Advertising and affiliate relationships do not change puzzle answers, difficulty labels or editorial conclusions. Sponsored material and affiliate links are identified clearly. Ads are kept separate from controls, navigation and download links; they are also kept distinguishable from answer buttons, and core puzzles remain free.
Responsible claims and fair play
Fun IQ provides recreation and puzzle-solving guidance. We do not claim that a puzzle diagnoses, treats or guarantees changes in intelligence, health or educational performance. Word-finder guidance must never imply that an external aid is permitted when the rules of an active game prohibit it.
Corrections and contact
If a rule, answer, source or description appears wrong, use the contact page and identify the exact page and issue. We check the live puzzle or article, correct verified errors and update the modified date only when the published content changes. Feedback is considered on its merits regardless of whether it comes from a subscriber, advertiser, partner or casual visitor.
